What the Bible Says About...Sample
Old Women
(Treat) older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone … Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.
Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness … gray hair the splendor of the old …
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
She was very old … and then had been a widow … She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.
