God’s Laws – 3

And you will know that I am the LORD, for you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you.

We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. … we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets.

I gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, by which the person who obeys them will live. … I am the LORD your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Suppose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right. … He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live,” declares the Sovereign LORD.

“This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel … I will put my laws in their mindsand write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. … This is the covenant I will make with them,” says the Lord. “I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds. …And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.”

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
