Nothing – 1

I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes.

Ask the former generation and find out what their ancestors learned, for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow. … What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.

Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing. … All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame. Who shapes a god and casts an idol, which can profit nothing? … They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.
