What the Bible Says About ... Volume 1Sample

When We Believe
Sirs, what must I do to be saved? … Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved …
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God …
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life … Whoever believes in him is not condemned …
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ … And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
