The Fruit of the Spirit is … Patience - 3

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus … I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
