Perfect Redemption: Easter Devotional for KidsSample
The Sheep and The Goat
Are you a sheep or a goat? Hold your thoughts. A time is coming when Jesus will gather all his children and like a shepherd, he will separate the sheep from the goats. Those on the right (sheep) will receive the inheritance of the kingdom. But how will Jesus know the sheep from the goats?
People who have been living in obedience to God’s word will be separated from people who have not. Jesus uses this parable to classify those who have been feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and caring for those who are sick and in prison as sheep (righteous). While the people who did not help those in need are classified as goats (unrighteous).
God wants us to love and serve him by loving others and taking care of the people around us. When we do this for Jesus, it shows that we are righteous because we honour and serve God. And that makes us SHEEP!
