To be a gardener is to be a person who puts quite a bit of time, knowledge, and effort into practice. Sure, you could dig a small hole and plant a seed, but without care and the right conditions, you may never see a seedling start to come out of the ground. A good gardener is not only familiar with the seeds that they use, but they also know the best conditions that will help the seed grow to reach its full potential. It’s the same with us as believers. We are loved and known by a God who knows all things. God knows the number of hairs on your head, the fears that hold you back, and the desires of your heart. God wants us to reach our full potential, and the only way that happens is through a life spent loving and serving Him.
What are some things you think keep you from having a daily connection with Jesus Christ? Does it feel like a waste of time, or that if God really knew you, He may not love who you are? Take a minute and write down a few things you think may be holding you back from fully embracing a relationship with Jesus. Sometimes writing things down and acknowledging them can be the first step in seeing them for the lies they are. Remind yourself that you are loved and known by a God who only wants to love and know you more. So much so that He gave His life so you could have a relationship with Him.

About this Plan

When it comes to our relationship with God, habits can take on a huge role. They can work to help us stay consistently connected to Him, or become distractions that keep our minds focused on what we want and not on what God wants for our lives. We’ll take a look at how being consistent with our spiritual habits helps us maintain a close relationship with our Savior.
