It feels like today things just aren’t built to last the way they used to. Our furniture breaks a little more easily, clothes often rip just a year or two after we buy them, and we all know the short life of any sort of cell phone. Things that we’ve come to rely on in our everyday lives can break down at a moment’s notice. Of course, we all know that material things don’t last forever, but for some of us, these breakdowns happen in our relationships as well. Friendships we thought would be forever can slowly start to fade, and family bonds begin to feel a little more stressful to hold on to. With so much change, it can feel like there is nothing steady in our lives where we can build any sort of foundation.
But when we look to Scripture, we see truth after truth reminding believers that we have a God begging us to rely on His power and love. Things turn to dust, and people may come and go, but the love that God has for us is unchanging and never-ending. No matter what, God isn’t going anywhere. Today, spend some time in prayer thanking God for being the one thing that we can count on in this world.

About this Plan
When it comes to our relationship with God, habits can take on a huge role. They can work to help us stay consistently connected to Him, or become distractions that keep our minds focused on what we want and not on what God wants for our lives. We’ll take a look at how being consistent with our spiritual habits helps us maintain a close relationship with our Savior.
