The Waiting Season.Sample
Day 2: Be expectant.
”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11, KJV).
I want you to meditate on that verse and understand it. Our Creator and reason for our existence say with certainty that the plans God has for us are not to harm us or cause any negative effect but to give us thoughts of peace. If God wants us to only think peaceful things, why do we let the devil succeed in polluting our minds with fear and anxiety?
Luke 12:25-26 asks us which of us can change anything by worrying. I believe that just the same way comparison is the thief of joy, so is worrying.
From today henceforth, I want you to take charge of your thoughts and think about good things only (Philippians 4:4-9). When the devil comes to steal your peace, fight him with the Armor of God. Resist him and he will flee.
Whatever it means to think about good and noble things, please do.
Record the steps of your testimony just the same way pregnant women take baby bump photos. You are expecting…
Say it with me: I (your name) am expecting (your proposed blessing).
Due date: When the Lord says it is time.
God is within you, you shall not fail.
Prayer:
Father I give You the Glory and I thank You for how far You have brought us in this season of our lives. I ask that You continue to keep us steadfast in our faith and that we continue learning, retaining, and practicing Your Word for strength in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Scriptures for the day:
Jeremiah 29:11.
