Let Our Faith Become A Mountain – Kim Walker-Smith
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NIV)
My prayer for the Church is that we would remember who we are. We are daughters and sons of God. We’ve been given authority over our enemy and through Jesus we lack nothing! Because of the Cross, we can stand firm no matter what may try to come against us. I pray that our faith would rise up inside of us and become bigger than anything we face. I pray our faith would become as strong as a mountain, that it would be unshakeable, and lift us up above the adversities that come our way. Surround yourself with people who will remind you who you are when you forget. Plant yourself in a community of believers that build each other up in faith, walk in boldness, and encourage each other. Allow Jesus to fill your heart with a perfect love that casts out all fear and causes you to walk in boldness and confidence. There is no weapon formed against you that can prosper!
Guard your ears and don’t let discouragement have a foothold in your mind. Guard your heart from any hopelessness. We are never without hope because we are never without Jesus. We can practice these things through reading the Word of God, memorizing it, and speaking it out. In the times that I don’t feel full of faith, I still pick myself up and speak out words of faith and recall the promises of God. It doesn’t matter if I feel like it or not and it doesn’t matter if I believe it in the moment or not. Sometimes just the simple act of making those faith-filled declarations is exactly what brings my heart and mind back into alignment and back to where I need to be.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NIV)
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.
