Elevate: A Conversation About Violence and PeaceSample

During life’s chaos, God invites us to elevate our hearts and minds to a place of overwhelming peace. To elevate means to lift higher, to rise above the noise and disturbances around us. To seek God’s peace, we can move our focus from the challenges of the present and keep our attention on God’s promises, goodness, and love, which are so much greater than what’s in front of us. You have a decision to make each day: Do I trust that God is sovereign and is taking care of me, even when I can’t see or understand, or am I going to stress and worry about the things that I can’t control?
Take a moment today to elevate your concerns to God and surrender the burdens that are weighing you down. As you share, allow God’s peace to fill your heart and mind in exchange for that stress and worry.
