Serving as a FriendSample

Serve with an open heart
Serving others is more than just ticking off a good deed; it's about putting real heart into it. Doing it just because it feels like an obligation misses the mark. Jesus showed us that to serve right, you do it with a full heart, with genuine love. Treating those you're helping like they're family, with all the respect and care that comes with it, that's the key.
When I'm out there giving food to the homeless, I make sure to connect with them on a human level, chatting about what's on their mind, just like I would with a relative. And I don't mind if they're not in the best shape. I'll give them a hug and all the warmth I've got. If that's not your thing, it's cool. There's definitely some way of helping out there that'll suit you. But remember, the golden rule is to serve with love, just like Jesus did.
