What Jesus Said About His Lordship

DAY 5 OF 7

You cannot make Jesus Lord. He is already Lord.

God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord (1 Corinthians 1:9).

“yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him (1 Corinthians 8:6).

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:3).

Elisabeth Elliot said: "Until the will and the affections are brought under the authority of Christ, we have not begun to understand, let alone to accept, His Lordship."

Added Adrian Rogers: "Christianity is not a cafeteria line where you say, "I'll have a little salvation, but no Lordship right now."

You cannot make Jesus Lord. He is already Lord. There are, however, two things you can do: you either submit to him or you reject him

To live under the Lordship of Jesus is the most natural thing for someone who loves him. If you love him, you will obey and surrender to him.

We must proclaim the Lordship of Jesus over every inch of our lives. In the life of the Christian, Lordship is not negotiable. It cannot be re-defined. Someone said: "'Jesus is Lord" is not my personal opinion. It is a divine reality.'"

What in my life looks like Thomas when he said: "Unless I see the nail marks in His hands, and put my finger where the nails have been and put my hand into His side, I will never believe."

Obedience: Is Jesus Lord over every aspect of my life?

About this Plan

What Jesus Said About His Lordship

Many people want to be saved from their sins. But not many want to submit to the Lordship of Christ. It is not possible to say that Jesus is my Saviour without saying that Jesus is my Lord.
