Journaling Through Lent

DAY 31 OF 40

Remission: Redemption through Sacrifice

Thanks for sticking with me through this plan till now. We’re 30 days in and have spent time journaling through repentance, renewal, and remembrance. For the last leg of this journey, let’s focus on the theme of remission.

As we begin this journey of remission, we first contemplate the atoning work of Christ on the Cross. The reality of our sin is met with the overwhelming grace and redemption freely offered through Jesus. Our sin-stained lives find justification not through our works but through the sacrificial love of Christ. On the Cross, He bore the weight of our transgressions, offering healing and restoration. The Cross stands as the ultimate symbol of redemption, transforming our brokenness into a testimony of God's mercy.

Take time to quiet your heart and meditate on the Cross. What does God’s sacrifice on the Cross mean personally to you? How often are you reminded of His remission?

Journaling Prompt:

Create a visual representation of redemption. Use colors and symbols to convey the transformative power of Christ's sacrifice on the Cross. Consider incorporating broken chains or vibrant hues to represent the freedom found in His redemption.

About this Plan

Journaling Through Lent

This 40-day Lenten devotional will help you meditate on the themes of Repentance, Renewal, Remembrance, and Remission in the lead-up to Easter. Each day, you will focus on one theme, meditate on a portion of Scripture, and use a journaling prompt to encourage you to internalize what God is saying by expressing yourself through the creative art of journaling.
