What Jesus Said About Making DisciplesSample
There is no faster way to evangelize and disciple nations than to make disciplemakers.
Obedience: How old are you right now? What would be the result if, from this moment and onwards, you will do one discipleship group every year for the rest of your life and teach them to multiply? Imagine the fruit! If you are 35 years old and God allows you to live 70 years, you can equip 35 groups. Multiplying that by three gives you 105 people. And if even just 60% continues to multiply, you will have 6,300 disciplemakers after ten years. And because every disciplemaker is immediately also an evangelist, you will also have 6300 evangelists.
The following quotes are quite helpful in understanding how the church needs to go forward.
A principle for all churches: Regardless of how fast a church grows but does not have a disciplemakers system, it will eventually plateau and die. It is true for small, macro, and mega-churches.
Robert Coleman: Someone asked Robert Coleman, author of The Masterplan for Evangelism and The Masterplan of Discipleship: "If you were to ask one question of the church in America, what would it be?" He thought a moment and answered, "What is your excuse for not obeying Christ's commission to make disciples?"
Billy Graham was once asked: What would you do if you were a pastor today? He said, I would get me a dozen men and pour my life into them over three years. And then each of them has to get a dozen men and repeat the process.

About this Plan
Jesus took 12 men, and for three years, He made them disciples and prepared them for the task He had in mind for them. After three years, with his ascension, Jesus said: “Go and make disciples.” He was actually saying to them: “Go and do the same as what I did.”
