This I Know: God Will Equip Me

Becoming a first-time parent has got to be one of the most nerve-wracking experiences. The baby is beautiful, soft, and tiny. The parent is scared to hold, diaper, or feed her wrong. Tiny humans do not come with owner’s manuals. But first-time parents have something better. They have the warm wisdom and kind help of other parents who’ve been there before. This knowledge and experience extended through relationship brings confidence.

Life is full of first-time experiences. We feel less-than-ready. But, our Father in Heaven understands and wants to help. That’s why He sent His Son. That’s why He gave us the Holy Spirit. That’s why He gave us His Word, the Bible. The Bible is full of warm wisdom and kind help extended through relationship with Christ. It brings confidence. It’s wisdom to grow you spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. When you regularly invest your time in God’s Word, His Holy Spirit will grow you up and make you ready for your next first-time. 

God will equip me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.

Pray: God, thank You for the Bible. Seriously—it’s changing me. I believe Your Word will help me today and always. Help me listen to You, Holy Spirit, as I read and grow. Amen.
