Jesus IsSample

Day 16: Man of Peace and/or Bringer of War
Jesus has brought peace and division into this world. He divides and unites the world. How do we live with the reality that Jesus is all about bringing peace and unity, with the awareness that sometimes He will bring it through revealing the dividing lines of this world?
Jesus became the dividing line we must cross to experience His peace. He is always bringing peace and unity between us and God – but sometimes choosing Jesus causes us to conflict with the world/our flesh/others. We can ALWAYS choose peace and unity with the spirit, but it can be at the cost of peace with the world around us.
1) Which of these two parts of Jesus am I more comfortable with? Why?
2) What can I learn about Jesus and put into practice from accepting the part of Jesus that comes less naturally to me?
3) Write a short statement to remind yourself of these multi-faceted truths about Jesus.
a) John 14:27
b) Matthew 5:9
c) Matthew 10:34-36
d) Luke 12:51
e) Matthew 21:43-44
About this Plan

This December, we want to celebrate who JESUS IS. He is much more than we can comprehend; He is so good and multi-faceted! This reading plan will serve as an opportunity to look deeper into the many aspects of Jesus this holiday season. This plan was created by Madeleine Weidemann.
