Proclaim

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Phil. 4:8-9)

Prompt

How much would your gratitude grow today if you fully trusted God? How much would it grow if you thought on all the things in this quarter’s verse and discovered how foolish it all could look? Would you be willing to look foolish in front of your friends, your family, or your boss?

When was the last time you really trusted God enough to look foolish in someone’s eyes?

When you “think about such things,” you welcome foolish hope into your life. Because the world isn’t always going to seem like it’s in line with the foolish thoughts God wants us to meditate on.

But foolish thoughts bring foolish hope. And foolish hope believes for better days.

Foolish hope says nothing is impossible.

Foolish hope believes everything in your past is being worked together for good.

Foolish hope looks foolish to man but faithful to God because foolish hope is faith-filled hope.
