2 Samuel 20:22a - Then the woman went to all the people with her wise advice, and they cut off the head of Sheba son of Bikri and threw it to Joab….

The wise woman didn't do the work alone. She had to walk through the conversation with Joab by herself, but the mission of defeating Sheba was the work of her and the people of Abel. She couldn't have done it alone. Sheba had his troops who could have easily overtaken her had she been isolated. Yet, when she gathered the people for the mission, they were all stronger together.

You will only find struggle when you try to do it all on your own. We've all heard it said - we were designed for relationships. It's true - if you think that you can accomplish the plan and purpose of God without anyone else, you likely won't succeed.

Wise woman, will you continue to strive alone? Or will you allow yourself to be accompanied by godly men and women who are ready, eager, and waiting to help you do the work?

Oftentimes, we don't want community because we have been burned before. We entered into relationships through work, family, or ministry, thinking we were finding friendship and left deeply wounded. What happened may have hurt you. Maybe it scarred you and left you feeling anxious to trust others.

Friend, the only way you will overcome the enemy is by stepping out again, trusting God, and connecting to the people He has placed in your life. Pick up your mission and find your people. They are armed with the word and love of God in their hearts, waiting for your clarion call to arms.
