The Character of a Wise Woman, a 10-Day Plan by Allison DanielsSample
A wise woman is committed to defeating the enemy.
2 Samuel 20: 20-21 - “Far be it from me!” Joab replied, “Far be it from me to swallow up or destroy! That is not the case. A man named Sheba, son of Bikri, from the hill country of Ephraim, has lifted up his hand against the king, against David. Hand over this one man, and I’ll withdraw from the city.”
The woman said to Joab, “His head will be thrown to you from the wall.”
This wise woman did not come to play. She was serious about protecting everything under her influence. When the enemy was coming for her territory, her home, her people - she stood in bold authority as a righteous daughter of God saying, “No, I am coming for you!”
Sister, grab your sword and cut off the head of the enemy! Is he attacking your marriage, your children, your church? Is he coming for your finances, your purpose, or your future? Maybe it’s your dream, your mind, your peace, your promise?
You cut the enemy off with the sword of the powerful and mighty Word of God!
The word of God exposes and reveals the places where the enemy is trying to get a foothold in your life. So, when the voice of the enemy tries to tell you that you aren’t good enough to be loved, God’s Word calls to you and proclaims 1 John 4:16a, “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us…”
When the deceiver tries to tell you that you’ll never have enough, shout back with a strong voice Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Be a woman who is filled with the Word of God and declares His way over every area of her life. When a wise woman speaks, everything she declares is a danger to the work of the enemy. Go for it - cut off his influence, cut off his opportunity, cut off his voice with the Word of God.
Reflection: What lie is the enemy trying to get you to believe? What is the truth in God’s Word?
