Day 10: Walking in Love

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

"Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

In our pursuit of God's best for the new year, we turn to the paramount virtue of love, as beautifully described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

Love, the greatest of all virtues, is a powerful force that can transform hearts and communities. Today, we meditate on these verses and ask for God's help in walking in love towards others in the coming year.

Love, as defined in this scripture, is patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud, not rude, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, rejoices in the truth, always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.

Reflect on each of these qualities and consider how you can embody them in your relationships and interactions in the new year.

In your prayer, ask the Heavenly Father to fill your heart with His boundless love, so that you may extend it to others as He does. Heavenly Father, as I ponder the profound qualities of love outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, I am humbled by the depth of Your love. Please fill me with Your love so that I may love others as You do. Grant me the patience to bear with one another, the kindness to lift others up, and the humility to put their needs before my own. Help me to be forgiving, to rejoice in the truth, and to protect, trust, hope, and persevere through all circumstances.
