Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Surrendering control to God is a transformative journey. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Today, we commit to this essential process in the new year. Surrendering control is not a one-time event but a daily, intentional choice. It's about letting go of our own desires and yielding to God's perfect plan for our lives. Trusting His guidance is the cornerstone of this surrender.

In our prayer today, we acknowledge the significance of surrendering control and allowing God to lead us in all aspects of our lives. We seek His wisdom and guidance as we release our grip on areas we may be trying to maintain control. May we embrace His best with an open heart and completely trust in His divine plan.

Heavenly Father, as we venture into this new year, we come before You with a heart that longs to surrender control to You. We acknowledge that this is a daily process, requiring Your divine guidance. Help us to trust in You with all our hearts and let go of our own understanding and desires. In every aspect of our lives, we submit to You, seeking Your wisdom and guidance. We know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and we trust that You will make our paths straight. Lead us in Your ways this year, Father, and may Your will be done in our lives. Amen.
