Yeshua=Salvation
I always seem to find myself wrestling with the question “Are we saved by the law or by grace?” It is such a heated topic in the Christian faith. Paul clearly lays out that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Did you know that Yeshua, the Hebrew name for Jesus, also means "to rescue?”
How awesome is our God??!
He is so wonderful that He sent His son to save us (John 3:16) and on top of that, He named His son literally: salvation!! Faith, which is belief without seeing, can sometimes be hard. But, when the Lord has done so many mighty works in your life, one can not help but believe! Also, our tongues are powerful, as Proverbs 18:21 states. This is why our testimonies and confessions are so powerful!
Lastly, I just wanted to touch on James 2:26. The debate is settled in my mind. Faith alone in Yeshua does save us! But, we should love Him so much that we want to keep His commands! (John 14:15) I don't know about you, but I am so thankful for Jesus' sacrifice that I will do anything He asks! He saved me from my deserved punishment, which is death! (Romans 6:23) Praise the Lord!
