Beautiful Feet
God is mighty. God is powerful. He has used our rebellious nature to show us our weakness and our need for Him, in order to overcome the darkness.
And wonder of wonders, indeed, God loves us! He has put forth a plan before the foundation of the world, to not only redeem some from death and hell but to use his adopted children to proclaim this good news to others who will listen. He had given us this ministry of reconciliation!
He has not left us without resources. For we have inherited His Bible, faithfully proclaimed and passed down to use as the sword, to battle darkness. He has given us His Spirit to work through our weakness and proclaim this good news. Finally, he has prepared those, through the regeneration process, to be ready to receive the blessed gospel message.
Christ asserts that if you love me, you will obey my commands. So, out of love for Christ, and a desire to experience the joy of participating in this great enterprise, this commission to make disciples, make each day an opportunity to bless someone with this gift of Christ; “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
