The Beatles are the most famous rock band in history and one of the most influential music acts of the last century. So, how weird is it that The Beatles almost didn't make it? When they started, they were just four teenage boys who couldn't find a label that wanted to sign them. They got rejected four times before someone gave them a shot. One big music producer told them he wasn't interested because "guitar music is on its way out."
It's easy for us to be surprised that someone rejected The Beatles now. We have a perspective those people didn't. We can see the whole story.
In the same way, it's pretty easy for us to wonder why so many people rejected Jesus. They didn't just reject him . . . they put him to death on a cross. How could they have not understood who he really was?
We may not understand, but Jesus did. He took that rejection willingly. In today's Bible reading, Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would suffer and spend much of his life in pain. He knew it was going to happen to him. He came to earth anyway. Not because he wanted to be rejected but because he wanted to show how much he loves us.

About this Plan
We'll look at four major stressors we all deal with and see how God's words can give us comfort, guidance, and help with each of them. We'll talk about what Jesus offers you when you're not okay, what God wants you to know when people reject you, what to do when it's not easy to do what's right, and when we feel worried, we'll see what God has to say.
