Not OkaySample

You've got big goals in life. Everybody does. Maybe you want to go to Hollywood and become an actor. Maybe you have your eye on a specific college or career path. Maybe you want to become a professional athlete or author. These are all big, important goals. And you should go for it! But they're a little scary, too, right? What if it doesn't work out? What if you fail?
Almost any big goal you have in life comes with a risk of rejection. That's true whether you're thinking about what job you'd like to have, a dream you'd like to achieve, or even just friends you'd like to have. In any one of these instances, you might get shut down. It's easy to get scared of rejection. In fact, we can get so scared that we decide not to even try. The risk of rejection sounds scarier than the thrill of succeeding, so we decide we're better off safe than sorry.
But that's no way to go through life. Sooner or later, you've got to take a chance on something.
God knows that facing the possibility of rejection is hard. It can create a lot of stress and worry in our lives. What if we don't make it? What if we fail? How many times should we try before we give up? When you're feeling this way, remember the invitation Jesus gives in today's Bible passage.

About this Plan

We'll look at four major stressors we all deal with and see how God's words can give us comfort, guidance, and help with each of them. We'll talk about what Jesus offers you when you're not okay, what God wants you to know when people reject you, what to do when it's not easy to do what's right, and when we feel worried, we'll see what God has to say.
