Being Whole: 21 Days to Overcoming Relational TraumaSample
EMPOWERMENT:
Empowerment is the inner power that comes from hoping, believing and trusting in your inherent worth. This worth is usually diminished through trauma but restored through a life-changing relationship with God and others who have demonstrated the quality and character of godliness consistently.
Empowerment is a process: Empowerment is not something that happens overnight. It requires ongoing effort, support, and commitment. It may also involve setbacks and challenges along the way.
Empowerment involves building self-esteem and confidence: Empowerment is not just about providing resources and support. It is also about helping individuals and communities build their self-esteem and confidence, so they feel capable of making changes.
Empowerment is about creating sustainable change: Empowerment is not just about making short-term improvements. It is about creating long-term, sustainable change that can benefit individuals, communities, and society as a whole.
Questions to Ponder:
How do you make decisions about your life and the direction you want to take? Have you ever advocated for yourself or others? How did you go about it? Are there any areas of your life where you feel like you don't have control or power? How do you deal with those feelings?

About this Plan
Trauma of any kind impedes our ability to experience the wholeness found in Christ. Relational trauma, trauma resulting from an abusive or dysfunctional relationship, often fractures our perception of God, self, and others. As a licensed Christian therapist specializing in trauma, I have witnessed true healing from trauma. In this devotional you will explore, heal, and grow beyond the areas of your heart that have been fragmented by relational trauma.
