Flawless: How to See Yourself Through God’s Eyes Sample
Created in God’s Image – A Devotion for the Family
On the last day of creation, an amazing thing happened. God finished His creation with a personal touch—He formed man and shared His own breath with Him. What does it mean that man was made in the “image of God” or in His likeness? Simply, it means that we were made to resemble God. Since God is spirit and doesn’t have a body, this refers to the immaterial part of man.
Mentally, morally, and socially, we were made in the image of God. We can reason and choose. We have a moral compass. We are made for fellowship.
God created us with great care and concern. When He created the rest of the world, He spoke and it appeared. When He created Adam and Eve, He did more than just speak. Being created in His image creates intimacy between us and God.
You are valuable because you were created in the image of God. You are an expression of God’s glory. You have the ability to be loved by God.
That’s an amazing place to be!
