Wombs of Destiny

DAY 3 OF 5

Seed For Sign and Wonders

To gain further insights into the purposes of our wombs, over the next three days we will closely look at the highlighted words in our description of the womb ‘seeds are conceived, nurtured, protected, and developed in preparation.' In addition, we’ll look at examples of people once called barren in the Bible who appeared to have understood that the child coming through their womb had a God-ordained destiny and purpose to fulfill.

In the Parable of the Sower (Mathew 13:3-9), the man represents God, and the seed is His message, while in the Parable of the Mustard Seed in Luke 13:18-19, the seed is the message about the kingdom of God. The process by which the kingdom of God comes to man is miraculous, and the appearance of the kingdom is a sign. The womb is a platform through which signs and wonders manifest.

It was in the womb that God became man – the greatest miracle to be recorded in the history of humanity! “The Angel answered and said to her, 'The Spirit of Holiness shall come and the power of The Highest shall rest upon you, therefore he who shall be begotten in you shall be holy and he shall be called the Son of God.'” (Luke 1:35) “And when the eight days were complete that The Boy should be circumcised, his name was called Yeshua, which he was called by the Angel before he would have been conceived in the womb.” (Luke 2:21) Both quotes are from the Aramaic Bible in Plain English.

The physical womb of man continues to be a setting for God’s miracle as every child conceived in the womb is a wonder of God’s creative power. Isaiah 8:18 (AMP).

John: Conceived by Elizabeth and Zechariah

Dr. Luke’s account of the birth of John the Baptist in Luke 1:13-25 is an encouraging example for any couple who has faithfully prayed for a child for many years but still dealing with infertility. Elizabeth and Zechariah’s longings for a child were unmet until by a miraculous act of God the womb of Elizabeth, an old lady, conceived a seed that was a sign to point a nation to the coming savior and wonder of God’s miraculous power. Just as the birth of John the Baptist fulfilled the longings of Elizabeth, it also fulfilled God’s longing for the appointed time for the messiah’s coming. Does God still do miracles in the womb as he did for Elizabeth? El Rachum is the compassionate God Elizabeth testified of as doing this miracle for her: “The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people.”

I personally know of a 55year old woman and her husband believing for 15 years that God was able to take away their reproach and remove barren from their names. On the 30th of March 2023, the wife’s womb brought forth the seed conceived in faith, and they became joyful parents of Esther, one born for a time such as this.

Let us pray:

Father God, we thank you because you are still the same God who does wonders. We ask in faith today that you will do your miraculous wonder in the wombs of all women reading this and believing that as you did it for Elizabeth, you can do it for them too. In Jesus' precious name, we have prayed. Amen!
