Wombs of Destiny

DAY 1 OF 5

Your Womb Is For Birthing the Purpose of God—Rejoice and Embrace!

In the beginning of creation, the Bible in Gen 1:27-28 (NIV) shows us that mankind was made in God’s image with the spiritual capacity to birth for the one purpose of filling the earth and exercising dominion in it. Therefore, God spoke the blessing of manifestation and multiplication over mankind.

It is clear from the scriptures that God gave mankind, male and female, the ability to birth and equipped them for the process to fulfill God’s Will and Purposes on earth. In Genesis 2:21-23 (AMP), we see the creation and preparation of Man and Woman, God’s complete mankind, humanity.

The woman was made from the man, and the word ‘woman’ is a combination of the words, 'womb' and 'man’, suggesting that God took from the man, and put into the woman a dimension of the man’s physical capacity to conceive, nurture, protect and carry seed. God optimized man’s physical ability to birth in the woman and made it an element of her distinguishing identity. However, since they were both originally made in a dimension of God’s image, they still possess the capacity to birth spiritually, as that ability is an essential piece of God’s gift to mankind.

Every birth, physical or spiritual, requires a womb as it is the conduit where seeds are conceived, nurtured, protected, and developed in preparation for living out their life and purpose for existence. Interestingly, ‘Rechem’, the Hebrew word for womb means a place of deep compassionate love and it comes from the root word ‘Rachum’, which speaks of mercy, tender love, and compassion. This is quite intriguing as God’s name El-Rachumin Deuteronomy 4:31 expresses His character of compassion and mercy. We can deduce that God uses the womb as a place to express His love, tender mercies, and compassion. The womb is more than a physical vessel for birthing, but a channel from which compassion motivated by love emanates.

As a man without a physical womb cannot physically birth a child like a woman, in the spiritual, mankind is God’s physical womb on earth for birthing His purposes. This devotional has been intentionally written to bless and encourage the owners of physical wombs, women, especially those who are yet to birth physically. Irrespective of your birthing situation, you have a womb that God intends to use to birth His Will and Purposes on earth. Therefore, REJOICE AND BE GLAD! The fact that you have a womb is a blessing from God as written in Genesis 49:25 (NKJV).

Yes! Rejoice you are God’s Womb of Destiny, His masterpiece created for birthing and fulfilling His Will and Purposes on earth according to Ephesians 2:10. Let’s believe God, His Word, and Embrace our wombs as God’s BLESSING. Remember, in Genesis 1:27-28, God blessed them first before He spoke conception and fruitfulness over them. God has not changed and cannot change His character to bless. So many scriptures confirm our God blesses, like Psalms 67:6-7.

This is the season to believe, receive, affirm, confess, rejoice, and embrace God's truth of our wombs as a gift and blessing that creates richness and does not cause sorrow. Today, If you’re believing in the fruit of the womb, conception comes with embracing God’s blessing and purposes. Let hope arise and begin to see that your womb is blessed.

Let us pray:

Our dear Heavenly Father and God, we thank you for giving us both a spiritual and physical womb for birthing your will and purposes on earth. Today, we embrace your truth, declare that we have blessed wombs, and conceive by faith that which you want to birth in and through us for the glory and praise of your name. In Jesus' precious name, we have prayed. Amen!
