A Supernaturally Natural Life Sample

ANGELIC VISITATION During the time my parents were separated, I was broken, confused, lost and hurt. I’ve always seen mom and dad together and the very thought of them being apart was traumatizing. This was the toughest season that we had to face together as a family. I remember sitting in restaurants where I would hear people speaking derogatively about my family and when I would turn to look, it would be someone who was really close to us. We’ve had emails of hate, nasty text messages and constant uncharitable words spoken by people. Ironically, a majority of these accusers were believers, many who were saved through the ministry of our church. One night as I was praying and confessing the Word of God, my wife walked in and asked me to come to bed because by this time, I had been in prayer for almost four hours, weeping before the Lord in despair, asking Him if He was going to do a miracle for us. With a heart burdened with discouragement, I went to bed, only to be woken up at around three in the morning. The derogative words of people kept playing in my mind. With tears rolling down my cheeks, I started to pray in the Spirit and think of His promises. In a few seconds, my whole room was flooded with a mysterious light. I literally moved backwards, and I saw an angel, about six and a half feet tall, standing at the edge of my bed. Alarmed, I closed my eyes and started to pray. Mysteriously, every burden, confusion, brokenness, hurt and hate seemed to leave me and love, peace, assurance, strength and power swept over my heart, mind and emotions. This lasted for almost two minutes and then the angel disappeared. A week from the angelic visitation the marriage of my parents was restored! The Hebrew Word for Guard is Shamar, which means “to guard” “give heed” “keep watch” “protect” “take care” “perform a vow.” In my moment of chaos and confusion the Lord sent His angel to manifest his power and glory in my life. Today, know that the Lord’s angels are surrounding you and they are there to guard you and watch over you. So put your angels to work today by speaking out the Word of God. It will always come back bearing fruit. Application: Take some time out today to find those scriptures that speak about your situation. Once you find it, begin to meditate on it and confess it. Make it yours! Every time the Word of God is spoken through your mouth, the angels of the Lord “take heed” to make it a reality in your life. It will happen.
