ExodusSample
The tabernacle was designed with intricate detail. The altar of burnt offering represents the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, which atones for our sins and brings us into right relationship with God. The basin for washing represents the cleansing we receive through confession and repentance. The table for the bread of the Presence represents the nourishment we receive through the Word of God, and the lampstand represents the light of Christ that illuminates our path.
In the New Testament, we see that Jesus Christ is the ultimate tabernacle, the dwelling place of God's presence among us. Through Jesus, we can also become tabernacles of the presence of God through the Spirit.
