Romans - Part 1: SINSample

Romans - Part 1: SIN

DAY 31 OF 35

Romans 3:3-4 He is faithful.

Paul is writing to the Roman church.

As I was digging into this passage today, I found some great cross references I wanted to share with you.

"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny himself." - 2 Timothy 2:13

This scripture applies directly to verse 3. It is so wonderful to know we serve a God (YAHWEH) who will always remain faithful to us.

He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true." - John 3:33

This passage applies to verse 4. As we go about, proclaiming what God has done in our lives and how good He is, we certify how real He is!!

"Surely men of low degree are a vapor, men of high degree are a lie; if they are weighed on the scales, they are altogether lighter than vapor." - Psalm 62:9

Again relating to verse 4. If people in the highest positions of our society are a lie, how much can we really trust them? We cannot. We can only put our hope and trust in Jesus Christ, for He is our salvation!

"Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight--that you may be found just when You speak, and blameless when you judge." - Psalm 51:4

This is the passage directly quoted in verse 4. David is speaking to God saying how righteous and blameless a judge He is! All these passages summarize how big and great our God is.

He is faithful.

He keeps His promises.

He brought me out of darkness when I made excuses why I couldn't follow Him. In the end, God will overcome all the evil of this world. He will remain the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
