Game Changer #3: Integrate Prayer

In our daily lives, there are plenty of opportunities to become tangled in situations that we can’t cope with. When this happens, we have a choice on how to handle the problem. We can either try to fix the issue ourselves and end up getting in worse trouble, or acknowledge our human limitations and pray for divine intervention. If we choose the second option, our prayers act as a powerful game-changer that can alter the outcome of a bad situation.

1.Base your request on God’s character. Pray like you know God will answer you: “I’m expecting you to answer this prayer because of who you are. You are a faithful God. You are a great God. You are a loving God. You are a wonderful God. You can handle this problem, God!”

2.Confess the sins of which you’re aware.

3.Claim the promises of God.

4.Be very specific in what you ask for.

Prayer is the ultimate game-changer.

It is a tool through which we can speak directly to God, sharing privately with Him our fears, uncertainties, anxieties, goals, needs, and wants. Prayer is a personal interaction between you and the Lord, a conversation with which you can lay everything at his feet. It goes directly from our hearts and mouths to God, and He is always listening.

Prayer is what I rely on when the weight of the world feels like it’s laying on my shoulders. Prayer is what I go to after a difficult day, during times of stress or uncertainty, but also during times of prosperity. We use prayer to not only request assistance or understanding from God, but also to thank Him for all that He has done for us, all that He is currently doing for us, and all that He will do in the future for us!

Integrate prayer into your daily life. Dedicate a brief moment throughout your day to speak with God, thank Him for His grace and wisdom, and give your troubles to Him.
