Gracious Heavenly Father,

Help us to keep our focus.

It’s so easy to get blinded by the world,
to get sucked into
worrying about what doesn’t matter,
talking about what doesn’t matter,
wasting time and energy doing
what doesn’t matter.

Lord, help us to stay true to our mission.

You have called us to be children of light.
You have called us to be salt on this earth.

Too often,
we simply disappear into the crowd.

Too often,
we succumb to being just like the world.

Remind us of who we are in You.
Remind us of who You have called us to be.
Remind us it is not about us,
it is about You.

Set us free from a worldly mentality
that we might live each moment of each day
with a spiritual intentionality.

Forgive us, Lord.

Change us, Lord.

Surround us, Lord.

Empower us, Lord.

Embolden us, Lord.

In Jesus’ precious name,
we pray.
