The Daily Grind of the Season

DAY 5 OF 5

Boldness

How amazed are others with your boldness about Christ?

I know there are times in the locker room I have failed to plant the right seed by staying silent. Whether I didn’t want to rock the boat or I was the rookie on the crew. Less is more, right? Just shut up and listen. As we have all learned, not everything is black and white. We make our living navigating those gray areas. And yes, it's the no calls that take more courage to make but when the Lord sends the Holy Spirit to put air in our whistle (speak up in locker room, car ride, dinner, etc). We have to be ready to make the call. Boldness must be done with compassion and conviction. Jesus' great commission calls us to make disciples and be bold in sharing our faith.

Here are 3 ways to help gain confidence to portray boldness:

1) Spend more time with Jesus

2) Ask God for boldness during that time with him.

3) Yield to the Spirit when He's calling you to be bold.

Are you ready to make the CALL and be Christ-like during the daily grind of the season?

How can you be more bold and show compassion to those around you?

This plan was written by NCAA Division 1 Men's Referee K.B. Burdett Jr.

Day 4

About this Plan

The Daily Grind of the Season

Being a Christian can be similar to being a sports official. Striving for perfection but coming up short. Trust the system. Trust the process. Trust your gut, trust your training. Sound familiar? How many of us hear that or self-talk those reminders during our game. All of these are great reminders and processes to becoming a successful official. But we need to remember, it’s the Holy Spirit we should be listening to in those locker rooms, car rides, dinners and hotel rooms.
