Each Breath I Take I Will Speak God's PraiseSample

A song of victory
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
David had so many enemies, they were like a swarm of bees. They swarmed around him and wanted to kill him — but the Lord gave David victory. In Psalm 118, he sings a victory song to thank God and to give testimony of the Lord’s salvation.
In Romans 8, Paul also sings a song of victory. He fought not against hostile nations or kings, but against persecution, hunger, danger and spiritual powers. None of those adversaries were able to separate him from God's love. Through Jesus Christ “we are more than conquerors,” he rejoices. For this was not just Paul's personal experience; it is the experience of every Christian. If we are children of God, we automatically have an enemy, for Satan hates everyone who believes in God. He tries to harm us and separate us from the Lord. But in Jesus' power we can overcome him. If we resist him in God's name, he must flee and we sing a song of victory. A song to praise God and to put Satan to shame.
Do you feel like a “conqueror”? Do you get your strength for this fight from the Lord God?
About this Plan
