Each Breath I Take I Will Speak God's PraiseSample

Creation declares God’s glory
"The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1)
When God created everything, it was very good. It was a pleasure for Him to watch the bright shining stars, the green hills, the colorful plants and all the different animals. Sadly though, sin has damaged this perfect creation. It now carries the scars of death and evil. But still… there is so much beauty and greatness in the natural world around us, that it “proclaims God’s handiwork”. When we look at the sky, it tells us about its powerful and wise Creator. When we look up to the countless stars at night, we are impressed by the vastness of the universe. How great must God be to create all this just by speaking!
The heavens do not use words to glorify God, and yet their message goes out through all the earth (Psalm 19:3-4). By fulfilling their God-given purpose, creation honors the Lord. Humans can do the same by orienting their lives around God’s wise commandments and opening their hearts for Him. David ends this Psalm with the prayer that his words and thoughts will please God. That is his purpose in life. What is yours?
