How common it is for those who are strong to depend on themselves, trusting in their sufficiency and ability. But Scripture tells us that those who put their trust in themselves shall fall, faint, and be weary. However, those who wait on the Lord and by faith, rely on him, shall find a trustworthy God who will not fail them. Our Father gives grace sufficient for those who depend on him; they will have their strength renewed by him.

Pray:

Lord, help me to trust in you. Help me to draw my strength from your strength. I think of and pray for those who are not strong; people like Olga, who walk many miles each day to draw water. Renew their strength, Lord. Amen.
