2 CorinthiansSample
In today’s reading, we are focusing on self-examination. Paul reminds us in verse 5 that when we begin to judge others, it's time to examine our own hearts making sure we have Christ in us and are living like it. What does it mean to have Christ in you?
It's a defining character of a follower of Jesus. If you have Christ crucified within you, the hope of the glory of God, then all the troubles of the world begin to grow dim in the light of this glory.
Reading Romans, we begin to understand that all humans fall short of perfection, and sin leads to death, to be saved from this death we accept the gift of salvation with faith. You can pray through Romans 10:9-13 and have Jesus in you instantly.
About this Plan
We are going through the book of 2 Corinthians together! We will be reading one chapter every week as we usually do, but this time we have also included devotions and other passages to read on certain days. We hope you will follow along with us as we deep dive into Paul's second letter to the church in Corinth and seek to see what we can learn from it today as we seek to follow Jesus together.
