Remain and Be Fruitful

Our life on this earth is spiritual warfare. Unless we put to death the deeds of our flesh, we are unable to walk in the Spirit. We all have to go through the process in order to produce fruit. Jesus said, “Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me… for without Me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:4,5b)
Every seed has to go through the darkness in order to become a tree. People may even stamp on it. For a seed, its potential is inside. Only when it goes through the germination process, it produces fruit. The process is slow and hard. Everyone wants to bear fruit but no one wants to go through the process. People don’t want to stretch, face the storm, and face opposition or tribulation. Only in dark places, our potential will be released.
The seed has the life of Almighty God inside. It may be uncomfortable in the dark, but over a period of time as the seed germinates, it becomes a beautiful flower later on, producing fruit. Behold, we will see the glory of God in the midst of darkness. That is the place where Jesus steps in and no more will you fight the battle. The battle belongs to the Lord. He will train you to do your part as a prayer warrior. He will also break you, melt you, mold you and make you a vessel fit for the Master’s use. You will be the light of the world, a carrier of God’s presence to dispel every darkness.
When you fall, don’t be discouraged. This is part of the process to turn you into a shining light. Choose to remain in the vine. Your graveyard will turn into a vineyard. Your valley will become a place of glory.

Holy Spirit, You are my Helper. Help me to abide in Your love, never give up, and bear more fruit for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
