Regret or Succeed

The life we live and the decisions we make, all depend upon what or who we draw from. When Jesus taught, in John 15:1,2, He personified Himself as a vine. Not just a vine, but the true vine. This means there exist false vines too. If we draw or seek worldly counsel, we get attached to a false vine, which ends in regret.
The Bible declares in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established. Psalm 37:3 says, Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Take the example of the life of King Saul. Instead of being patient till the Prophet Samuel came to offer sacrifice to the Lord (1 Samuel 13:11-14), he asked the people to bring the animals for sacrifice. When King Saul offered the sacrifice, transgressing God’s commandment, he brought an end to his reign as king over Israel.
In John 15:2, Jesus speaking of the ministry of His Father said, “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” But in the original Greek text, the word ‘lift up’ is used instead of ‘takes away’. The Father lifts us up. Our heavenly Father’s ministry is to lift us up from our bondage, sick bed, addiction, depression, joblessness, hopelessness, failure and put us up on the trellis of the vine, so that we can draw from His Son and once again be fruitful.

Prayer
Father, thank You for connecting us to Your Son, by Your blood covenant, which cannot be broken or reversed. Help us Lord, to draw from You and prioritize You always. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
