Waiting upon the Lord” is an expression that tends to sound contemplative and introspective. Actually it’s a summons to serve. Servants “wait” on their masters, and “waiters” serve their customers.
In praise, you and I are directed toward faithful and powerful service. Praise announces our entry into God’s presence, purifies our attitude, and insures our fulfillment while we learn to wait in His presence.
Praise is right. Praise is lovely. Praise is appropriate.
