New Beginnings
Joshua learned the significance of new beginnings. Moses was gone, but God would use Joshua to make a new beginning.
Nature itself attests to the truth of new beginnings. Each sunrise, each new moon reminds us that God gives us opportunities to begin again. The old day passes with its successes and failures. The former season ends and a new one begins, offering fresh hope. When we tear off the pages from our calendar, we have before us the gift of a new day.
As we praise the Lord of new beginnings, praise Him that He does not banish us to our past, but that His faithfulness to begin again in us is new every morning (Lam. 3:22, 23).
