From Insecurity to Godly Identity: My Path to FreedomSample
He means well concerning you.
"I'm so grateful that you were sick for so many years!"
Wait, did she really just say that? The woman on the other end of the line apologized for talking too fast and then said, "I actually mean it. It's only because you've been through this that I know there's hope for my anorexic girl, too."
Ahh, I understood then what she meant, and yes, it's true! If I hadn't gone through that long and difficult valley of eating disorders and so many other hardships in my life, I wouldn't be where I am today. I probably wouldn't even be able to speak to you through A Miracle Every Day. Isn't that a crazy thought?
Maybe you, too, are going through a valley that seems to never end. You may ask yourself, "where is this 'God who means well'?"
In the Psalms, we read, "Passing through the Valley of Weeping (Baca), they make it a place of springs; the early rain also fills [the pools] with blessings. They go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power]..."! (Psalms 84:6-7, AMPC)
The God who means well concerning you has promised to help you! And He wants to show you that there's a miracle to be found in each one of your wounds…a miracle that will turn the bleakest memories into life-saving realities!
You know, so many times I've only seen that "God meant well" years later. That's why I've learned to trust, even without understanding at the moment. And every time I was in one of my lowest places, God not only eventually brought me out again but also lifted me up!
In so many cases, if I hadn't been through yesterday's trials, I wouldn't be able to get where I'm supposed to go tomorrow. And the same is true for you!
You can fully trust that your loving Father does indeed want your best—even in your current situation! He has allowed you to go through this time, but He Himself will also get you through it. With Him, you will go from strength to strength!
You are a miracle!
