From Insecurity to Godly Identity: My Path to FreedomSample
"I did it my way…"
For those of you who read these daily miracles to your family, please know that today's "miracle" has some sensitive content.
I can't even count the number of times I flushed the toilet after vomiting yet again. It's not a pretty thought, and I lived in shame about what I was doing. I really wanted to stop! Again and again, I said to myself, "Today was the last time!"...until it happened again…and again.
Like me, maybe you've also tried and tried to solve a particular problem. Perhaps you've tried with all your might just to find yourself in the same place! And maybe you, too, have wondered why it never seems towork.
"Do you REALLY want to get well? Do you REALLY want it?"
"...'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well…'" (Mark 5:28, NKJV).
I love the faith of this woman in the New Testament who had been suffering for years. Even the doctors confirmed that she would never get well and would have to"learn to live with her problem."
As you continue to read the text, you'll see that this woman even managed to surprise Jesus with her faith! He loves it when we trust Him! His response to her perseverance was clear: "...'Daughter, your faith has made you well…'" (Mark 5:34, NKJV).
In my situation, I had to change my approach from "trying to save myself" to learning to cry out to Jesus in my mess (quite literally!) No, I was not healed immediately—it took years for me to become completely free, but I wasn't relying on my own strength anymore to get through each day. I was given godly strength, and that made all the difference!
Letting go of trying to fix it your way and allowing God to guide you instead will give you strength, courage, and joy along the way!!
"Pile your troubles on God's shoulders—He'll carry your load, He'll help you out." (Psalms 55:22, MSG)
Will you also surprise Jesus with your perseverance today and show Him that you need Him?
There is a miracle waiting for you!
You are a miracle!
