Flip the Switch: Finding God's PeaceSample
The best part of all of this, is that the Bible tells us that every single one of us has the ability to receive this peace that surpasses all understanding.
Like the “living water” that Jesus offers the woman at the well in John 4:10, all we must do is believe in Jesus confidently and completely give over our troubles to God.
Breathe easy, because He can and wants to fill us!
Over the next twenty-four hours, there are going to be all kinds of messages flashing through your mind. Some will align with the teaching of God’s Word, and some will not. Confront the lies with the overwhelming truth of God’s unconditional love for you.
Psalm 91 says that God has for each of us, His children, a place to dwell, to take refuge, to experience His protection, His care and His comfort; a secret place under His shadow.
Where do you go when you are distressed or worried? Have you ever thought of God as a place to take refuge?
Many of us live in worry and fear, but this psalm reminds us that if we make God our refuge, we will not be afraid at night nor during the day. If we put our trust in God, just by opening our eyes we will be witnesses to His justice.
Are you dealing with anxiety? Put your trust in God.
Are you feeling stressed? Put your trust in God.
Do you have financial, spiritual, or relational woes?
Put your trust in God.
It is only after we have put our full, undivided trust in God that we may experience full, undivided peace.
Search for this peace. Do not be discouraged by the circumstances of today nor the setbacks of tomorrow.
Seek, and you will find Him.
And when you find Him, you will in turn find peace.
