Reasonable DoubtSample

Imagine if you just had an instruction manual to life—like a book that you could just carry with you. It would help you make all the right choices and do the right things. Wouldn’t things be more straightforward? It could include how to find a date for prom, how to pass final exams, or even helping you choose what to be involved in. While we may not have a literal instruction manual customized for us and our experiences, knowing what to do and figuring out this thing called life can be exhausting at times.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus reminds us that when we feel burdened by figuring out life, we can go to him, and he'll give us rest. The toughest part about questions and doubt is our mind is racing with uncertainty. What we actually need in those moments is rest—rest from all the uncertainty and a true sense of comfort. Finding rest in Jesus could be like praying to him, taking a day to recharge, and being with people who love and care for you as Jesus does.
Today, take time to pray about how Jesus can help you find rest, even while experiencing the doubts you might have.
