DAY 2 OF 20

Have you ever thought about the way air just . . . exists? You can't see it; you can't hold it, but you know it's there. Even though it's not tangible, you know that your lungs will be filled with air when you take a breath, sustaining your every movement. That's faith—completely trusting that something is there, even without evidence you can hold in your hands.

That's how faith in Jesus works. Sometimes it's hard to trust that he's there. We can't physically touch or see him, so we have to have faith to know that he's there, keeping us going—in good times and when life gets tough. When we believe in Jesus, we're called to have faith in God's unending support. It's because we can't see Jesus that we have faith in him.

What are some ways to increase our faith in Jesus, and have confidence that he's there?

About this Plan

Catalyst

Science can explain the mysteries in the world around us; there are answers for many of the mysterious things about faith too. You’ll learn in science class that “catalysts” are interactions that create big changes and transformations. Scripture shows us certain change-making “catalysts” are necessary for our faith and the faith of others. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll explore the catalysts for our faith.
