Bible Belles: Becoming A Belle Of PatienceSample
Use your superpower! God wants you to be patient so that He can guide you.
Have you ever done something before really thinking it through? A lot of the time, people don’t pause or prepare their hearts before making a choice. They jump in before taking enough time to think, pray, or ask God for help.
Read Psalm 37:7.
God says to be still. When we’re still, sitting quiet and without anything there to distract us, it gives us a chance to hear what God wants to tell us. Having patience means taking time alone with God to allow Him to share something with us, instead of rushing in to make a decision too quickly.
Read Exodus 14:14.
The Bible says that when we choose to wait on the Lord, taking time to properly prepare before making choices, He gives us the power and strength we need so that we can make the best choice at the right time.
Activity:
Draw a picture, using today’s verse from Exodus as inspiration: God fighting and you being still. Color it in and hang it in your room as a reminder of how God is in charge and it’s our job to wait for Him.
